Inventory Asset ID Style

Asset IDs are assigned manually each time a new inventory is created. Uniqueness is enforced.

Automatic - Numeric

Example: 0040230
Asset IDs are uniquely assigned as new inventory is created in numeric (decimal) order.

Automatic - Alphanumeric

Examples: A00014FX3
Asset IDs are uniquely assigned as new inventory is created in alphanumeric order. This is equivalent to base-36 numerals. A00014FY0 would follow A00014FXZ.

Asset ID Length

This is the maximum length of Asset IDs. If you choose an automatic style, the Asset ID will be zero-filled to this length.

Next Asset ID

The next new inventory unit will be assigned this number if you are using automatic assignments.
